Ffern: Summer 25
Today I wore Summer ‘25 by Ffern and felt instantly at ease. This is Ffern’s latest seasonal release and my favourite from them so far. I already loved it from the sample, but wearing it properly sealed the deal. It’s light, citrusy, and effortless, the kind of scent that feels like second skin on a warm day. Not a “smells like summer” cliché, but a scent to wear in summer. And that distinction makes all the difference.
Projection: Soft to moderate.
This is a close-wear fragrance with enough lift to feel fresh, but it won’t shout across a room, think sun-dappled, not scorched.
Longevity: Lasted around 2-3 hours.
The sparkling citrus notes linger longer than expected, and the floral base keeps things quietly glowing as the day wears on.
The Scent
Summer 25 opens with an airy citrus sparkle. Grapefruit stands out straight away, bright, zesty, and full of energy, softened by a peachy roundness that brings warmth without tipping into being overly sweet.
As it settles, a soft floral character emerges, gentle and wildflower-adjacent. It’s not heady or polished, more like florals carried on a breeze. There’s something naturalistic and meadow-like about it. The dry down keeps that gentle floral warmth intact, with the peach lingering and the citrus mellowing.
It doesn’t change drastically, but the evolution is elegant, from bright to soft, crisp to calm. The transition feels seamless.

Summer 25 is a gentle triumph from Ffern. It’s warm-weather ready without relying on beachy tropes, sweet fruits, or sunscreen notes. Uplifting, easy to wear, and subtly beautiful, this is one I’ll be reaching for all season and a great reminder that sometimes, simple done well is the most satisfying of all.
